Dr. Alfred Moser has graduated and received a Ph.D. degree from the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH, in Zurich, Switzerland. He has a background in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, and numerical analysis. He worked in the corporate research lab of a large aerospace company (McDonnell Douglas, USA) on external aerodynamics and developed gas turbine bladings at Sulzer Corp., Switzerland. Now he directs a research group "Air & Climate" at the ETH and applies Computational Fluid Dynamics to indoor climate, sustainable housing, and fire safety in buildings.
Moser is a member of AIAA and ASHRAE and was an IEA Operating Agent, he is the Swiss Coordinator of the COST Action C17, Built Heritage - Fire Loss to Historic Buildings and of the COST Action G3 Industrial Ventilation.
